This greater surface area encourages faster extraction of natural compounds from the barrel, helping the spirit develop richer color, smoother texture, and deeper flavor. Known for its fine grain and refined character, French oak gently imparts subtle notes of vanilla, toasted spice, and soft tannins that complement the floral and fruity nature of Muscat grapes.
